Studying relationships between human activities and biodiversity, bird ecology, urban ecology and environmental assessment. Analysing responses of birds to changes driven by human activities including change in land use in agricultural landscapes and urbanisation in Uttarakhand. Research interests also include studying relationships between people and nature, nature-culture linkages and national and international conservation frameworks for biodiversity and natural heritage.
