We aim to understand the impact of anthropogenic activities on tropical bird communities and key ecosystem services rendered by birds, like seed dispersal. Our ongoing projects across multiple tropical forest sites in India, in Sahyadris (northern Western Ghats), Andaman archipelago, and Himalaya, aim to understand the impacts of land-use change on avian diversity and organisation of plant-frugivore communities in tropical forests. Our research also focuses on endangered birds, like the White-bellied Heron, to determine the impacts of anthropogenic activities on the endangered species and their habitat.
